The Kidnapped Prince Trail, 12.6 km long, is marked in blue and runs mainly through forests. The route includes narrow, winding paths, steep slopes and marshy areas, which makes it not suitable for cyclists. The kidnapped prince, from whom the name of the trail is derived, is Bogusław X. The infamous title that was given to him is related to the event in 1475. The knights of Bogusław X, stationed in Sianów, attacked merchants who were walking along the trade route towards Gdańsk. Unfortunately for those knights, robbed merchants came from Koszalin and called for help from Koszalin warriors. The locals who even managed to kidnap the wounded magnate prevailed in the clash of both sides. Half a decade after this event, the duke became the ruler of West Pomerania and decided to return to the city by which he was insulted. The inhabitants received him solemnly, and to avoid the ruler's anger, he was forgiven his debts and a feast was held in his honor. The beginning of the route is on the exit road No. 6 from Koszalin towards Gdańsk, at the so-called Piaskowa Mountain. From here, follow the forest paths to the top of the Chełmska Mountain. Behind the observation tower, from which you can perfectly see the city panorama, the route leads along the slopes of the mountain to its foot. For the needs of the trail and for safety reasons, a special footbridge has been created that runs over the national "six". After crossing it, tourists pass by the fish ponds. Following the slope of the ravine, you can reach a dirt road and head towards Kłosa - a small town near Sianów. On the way there is a bridge over the Unie river, through which you need to cross to get to the end point of the trail, which is the Match Factory in Sianów. Unfortunately, the factory, Sianów's pride, which was established in 1845, was destroyed in 2011 as a result of a fire. Length: 12.6 km Duration: 2 h 15 min Difficulty level: easy
